101 Switching Protocols

The connection is switching to the protocol named in Upgrade.

What it means

Sent when a client asks to upgrade the connection, most often from HTTP/1.1 to WebSocket.

What your client should do

Start speaking the new protocol on the same connection.

Should you retry?

No. Repeating the same request will give the same result.
